Mission
At DYSports, we help developing youth teams grow by providing competitive learning opportunities. We believe in learning through both victories and setbacks, ensuring fair competition for all.
Vision
Provide a venue for developing youth athletes to improve skills, increase confidence, and compete.
Founder
DYSports was founded by John Verduin in 2019 while he was completing his MBA at Seattle University. John grew up in Seattle playing multiple sports. He attended Ballard High School where he continued to play football and basketball. John was fortunate enough to continue his basketball career playing at the collegiate level for Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. During his youth years, John experienced all levels of competition. It was not until he started coaching that he realized there are not enough levels of play for youth to grow their game. John believes that for a kid to improve and develop a love for the game, he or she needs to participate in games where they can compete and grow.

“Exceptionally run developmental tournaments for girls and boys basketball teams. DYSports tournaments are an amazing middle ground for kids to keep playing and getting better. Everyone in the Seattle basketball community should know about DYSports!”
