Born and raised in the basketball-rich city of Seattle, Salena Rogers grew up around the game from the very beginning. While she played a variety of sports throughout her life, basketball was always at the center of her family and community. Her passion for the game quickly turned into a passion for coaching when she began coaching at the YMCA during high school, where she discovered how much she loved mentoring and developing young athletes. After moving to Phoenix in 2023, Salena continued building her life around basketball and family. As a coach’s wife and proud mom, she’s now raising the next generation to love the game too, spending weekends in the gym, building community through sports, and helping create positive experiences for athletes and families both on and off the court.

Favorite sports team? UConn WBB and Seattle Storm.
If you could play any professional sports position, what would it be?
I’d be a professional golfer. Outside in the sun and visiting beautiful courses all over the country.
